I’m María de Lourdes Dorantes, originally from Mexico. My academic journey led me to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Spanish, followed by an International MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. Continuing my educational pursuits, I obtained a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Michigan, where I’ve dedicated over 30 years to advising and teaching Spanish.
Throughout my career, I’ve shared knowledge in various realms, from teaching introduction to translation courses to profession-specific courses in medicine, business, and law. Currently, I’m excited to continue sharing my passion for Spanish through conversational classes with LinguaSol.
In my role as a Spanish instructor at Linguasol, I leverage my expertise in business and medical Spanish to empower learners with the essential vocabulary and communication strategies crucial for success in the business field. Recognizing the demands of the professional world, I’ve developed a fast and effective teaching method that equips students with practical language skills tailored to real-world business scenarios.
My goal is to ensure that learners not only grasp the linguistic intricacies of business Spanish but also feel confident applying their knowledge in professional settings.
